One of my favorite "new" shows is Fringe (just returned for season 2). The show is by J.J. Abrams (of Alias, Lost and Star Trek movie fame).

The show is "out there" (as the title implies) but it also has some great humor, especially humor related to food. In every episode there is a reference to food and it is so funny.

One example from last season went something like this (it's not verbatim!)...

Father talking to his son:
"your poor mother. as a kid you would only eat coffee yogurt. nearly broke her heart." This just cracks me up.

This week's episode involved a discussion about creme brulee vs. flan (all while conducting an autopsy). Great stuff!
